Blacktown & Districts Soccer Football Association (BDSFA), is the official body for the sport of Football in the city of Blacktown and has over 10,200 registered players and is currently seeking a part-time Referees Coordinator to manage tasks across the administration and management of its referee operations in conjunction with the Referees Branch and to also assist with general competition matters. The Referees Coordinator will also link into BDSFA football operations across the various Football sub-committees.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for;
Assist with the management and administration of appointments and use of BDSFA agreed systems
Be a member of the referees’ appointments panel
Implement strategies in relation to recruitment and retention of referees
School based referee program
Social media messaging
Liaising with clubs
Target over 35’s players
Assist the gear steward for all referee gear, equipment & assets.
Coordinate and organise referee courses, seminars and meetings
Assist the Branch with training and mentoring sessions across all members
Assist the Office Manager with the registration and payment of all referee members
Key liaison point between BDSFA members and the referees branch
Ensure referee reports are submitted on time and are accurate
Work with referee branch on the pathway
Assist the branch on policy development and implementation
Liaison between the Office Manager and Referee Branch re: monthly electronic payments
Conflict resolution leading to satisfactory outcomes
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following competencies;

Proven ability to manage and prioritise across a wide range of activities
Demonstrated willingness to work weekends/non-traditional hours as required for key events and games hosted by BDSFA
Knowledge of the structure and operation of a sports competitions and administration
Proven or demonstrated knowledge of a refereeing environment and practices
Ability to manage football stakeholder management including BDSFA member clubs, referee’s branch and sub-committee members
Desired Competencies include:
Experience in preparing and conducting relevant referee training courses
Knowledge of BDSFA Football Competitions
Proven/demonstrated knowledge of BDSFA/FNSW Refereeing Structure & Practices
Commercial and Financial proficiency
Demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing a diverse range of stakeholders
Referee Experience – Minimum Level 4.
University Qualifications in Sports Management or Business Management
