The Junior Development League or JDL (previously SAP). JDL offers players between the ages of 9 and 13 the chance to play modified football formats in the first stages of the player development pathway. This program focuses on individual player development over team performance and clubs are regularly evaluated to ensure they are offering high quality programs for all participants. The BDSFA, along with Blacktown Spartans currently hold 3 JDL licenses

• ​Blacktown Spartans Girls JDL (Under 9-13)
• Blacktown Spartans Mixed JDL (Under 9-12)
• BDSFA Mixed JDL (Under 9-12)
