Registrations for the 2020 BDSFA Winter Season are Now Open
The online registration platform is now open for all of our 24 clubs.
2019 returning players are reminded to log in to their PlayFootball account to register. Lost or forgotten emails can be reset by contacting the PlayFootball Support Hotline on 02 8880 7983.
Don’t forget to claim your Active Kids Voucher before registration at the Service NSW website here. You must have your child’s medicare card handy!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do new participants register?
To register you will need all of your and the player details, and a passport style photo of the player only. Firstly, select your desired club, then select the Get Started link. From there you will need to create a Football Account (if you do not have one already) and follow the prompts. If you require more help this can be found at https://www.playfootball.com.au/register.
How much does registration cost?
Costs vary from club to club dependent on what is included in your registration. All clubs will have all of its affiliate body fees included but other fees vary depending on costs. Some clubs incorporate the referee fees into the registration costs, others don’t. Your best bet is to contact individual clubs and ask what exactly included in the registration fees.
What is the Active Kids Voucher?
The NSW Government is helping kids get active with the Active Kids program. The Active Kids program provides two $100 vouchers for parents, guardians and carers of school-enrolled children to use towards sport and active recreation costs each year.
When does the season start?
Round 1 commences on the weekend of the 27-29 March. MiniRoos will complete their season on the weekend of 14-16 August and the Grand Final for competitive age groups will be held on the 4-6 September.
How old does my child need to be to be able to play?
The child must be turning 5 in 2020 to be able to register.

What is a MiniRoo?
MiniRoos are participants playing in the under 5 through to under 11 age groups. These age groups are progressed from playing at a fun level through to player development as the age groups increase. Results and tables are not available for public knowledge but all match scores are recorded for grading purposes. Parents and spectators are reminded that results should not be publicly available or commented about as these age groups are based on fun, development and building a love for the sport.
Do we play in the rain?
The simple answer is, if you haven’t heard otherwise, yes. Occasionally games will be moved to other fields to enable as many matches to be played as possible.
Will rained out matched be played?
Yes, catch up weekends have been allocated on the ANZAC Day and June Long Weekends. Other times may be used to catch up postponed matches via the following:
- A Sunday for all Saturday based matches
- A following Tuesday for Masters
- Mid-week fixtures.
Do you offer professional coaching?
Yes, the BDSFA offers professional coaching aimed at 7 – 12 year old’s through the Advanced Coaching Centres. More information can be found here.
